Job description

Our client, a leading Automotive Manufacturing company is looking for experienced full-time Light Assemblers/Machine Operators to start as soon as possible, at their Woodbridge location.

Full time long term positions.

Location: Highway 407 and Weston Rd (Woodbridge, ON)

Shifts Available:

  1. Morning shift 7:00 am- 3:00 pm
  2. Afternoon shift 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
  3. Night shift 11:00 pm - 7:00 am

Pay Rates:

  1. Morning shift - Base pay $18.54/hr + 4% vacation pay = $19.28 per hour
  2. Afternoon shift - Base pay $19.04/hr + 4% vacation pay = $19.80 per hour
  3. Night shift - Base pay $19.54/hr + 4% vacation pay = $20.32 per hour

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform General Assembly and other operations, and inspection. Training will be provided.
  2. Perform production work to assemble or fabricate a product or sub-assembly in accordance with team production goals. May perform work manually and/or by machine operation.
  3. Ensure product and process quality and efficiency through appropriate inspection and continuous improvement problem-solving activities.
  4. Maintain procedures and standards to provide compliance with quality standards for assigned areas.
  5. Report any unsafe condition or action or work-related injury to the supervisor.
  6. Keep work area clean and organized.
  7. Understand responsibility for health and safety.
  8. Wear appropriate PPE and follow all safety rules.
  9. Perform other duties as necessary in support of team objectives.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience as an Assembler or Machine Operator is preferred within manufacturing or warehouse distribution.
  2. Basic math and communication skills are required.
  3. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift up to 30 lbs.
  4. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to safety standards.
  5. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Must have:

  1. CSA approved steel-toed safety shoes/boots, safety glasses, safety vest, and earplugs. Must be comfortable wearing them all the time while working.
  2. Must be able to work full time 40 hours every week.
  3. Must be eligible to work legally in Canada.
  4. Can work in-person and stand for longer periods of time as required.
