Lifestyle Therapist / Lifestyle Assistant

Salary Sacrifice

Highlighting the importance of this role

In this role you will be responsible for assisting with the provision of activities in accordance with the Positive Wellbeing Model of Care, which enhances the psychological, spiritual, social and physical well-being of residents and clients at Moonah Park Aged Care Service.

Working part-time, 60 hours per fortnight, you will be joining our fun, family-friendly team and be supported by passionate and caring leaders wanting to make a difference in the lives of our residents.

In this role you will :

  • Assist with development and delivery of leisure and recreational activities;
  • Support residents to participate in activities; attend to the personal care needs of clients/residents as required;
  • Assist with the regular review and improvement of activities;
  • Maintain accurate documentation of activities including evaluation of individual resident programs and plans.

What you can bring to the team

You are a dynamic and motivated individual with a strong desire to engage with and brighten the lives of our much-loved residents. Whether it be a concert at the facility or a day out on the bus, your main goals are to motivate, inspire and involve the residents. You have excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills, along with a fun-loving nature and compassion for individual needs.

Ideally you will have previous experience and the qualifications listed below :

  • Cert 3 in Aged Care, First Aid certificate, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate will be highly regarded;
  • Good communication skills with the elderly and team members;
  • Similar work experience in an aged care setting;
  • National Police check or the ability to acquire.
