Temporary Licensing Admin Officer (Trading Standards and Licensing)

Driving Licence

Skills & Experience required:

Level 2 National Certificate for Licensing Practitioners.
In-depth familiarity with the Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005, and Taxi legislation.
Proven experience in handling licensing applications.
Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work efficiently within a team and autonomously.
Strong organisational and administrative aptitude.
Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy in processing applications.

What's involved with this role: Operating under the guidance of the Team Leader in Trading Standards & Licensing and the supervision of the Senior Licensing Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the licensing service and maintaining a high level of responsiveness to customer needs.Key duties:

Provide expert licensing advice to the public, businesses, and officials.
Address inquiries via phone, in person, and in writing, directing customers to other services as needed.
Identify licenses due for renewal and issue timely reminders and invoices.
Handle administrative tasks, including processing applications and maintaining the public register.
Validate documents to ensure compliance with licensing regulations.
