Schedule

This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
Saturday and Sunday

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a full time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and possess the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
Complete a variety of bedside treatments.
Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter.
Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
Attend applicable IDT meetings.
Experience with tracheotomy.
Experience in a long term care setting.
Follow procedure and protocol of facility.
Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management.
Performs related duties as required.

  10. Bronchial hygiene therapy
  11. PEP therapy
  12. Postural Drainage
  13. Positioning
  14. Oro/Naso-pharyngeal suctioning
  15. Airway clearance/management techniques
  16. Trachea-bronchial suctioning
  17. Tracheostomy care
  18. Spirometry Bedside Testing
  19. CPAP/BIPAP
  20. High-Flow Oxygen
  21. Cardiac Program
  22. Pulmonary Program
  23. Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.
