Licenced Aircraft Engineer

Permanent, full-time opportunity for a Licenced Aircraft Engineer based in Glasgow.

Salary: £44,505 + Benefits

Our client is working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join, you will play your part as a Licenced Aircraft Engineer at the Glasgow Airport site.

The Role

As a Licenced Aircraft Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will help to drive the delivery of the flying activities alongside your Military colleagues by taking a 'Whole Force' approach to activities and ensuring excellent safety and delivery reputation is always maintained.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day, you will have the following responsibilities:

1. Coordinating all CAA part 145 paperwork
2. Ensuring H&S of all equipment and reporting of any faults and diagnostic problems.
3. Providing a CRS signature when appropriate to release an aircraft to service after either defect rectification or scheduled maintenance.

This role is full time and is based on site at Glasgow Airport.

Essential Experience

Essential experience of the Licenced Aircraft Engineer includes:

1. Aircraft inspections, repair, and maintenance
2. Sound understanding of partnering and alliance between customer and contract
3. Line support tasks
4. Type Rating on Grob 115E aircraft and Lycoming 360 engines
5. Have previously worked in a pt.145 environment
6. Experience in the aircraft maintenance industry

Qualifications

Qualifications for the Licenced Aircraft Engineer include:

1. Recognised SHEQ Qualification
2. Working knowledge of safety management systems (SMS)
3. EASA/CAA Part 66, B1.2 license
4. Clean driving licence

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain SC Clearance security clearance for this role.
