We are looking for a Library Experience & Engagement Facilitator to join our team on a permanent basis.
Where in Wellcome will I be working?
You will be working in the Library Experience & Engagement team within Curatorial and Public Practice reporting to a Library Experience and Engagement Manager.
The Library Experience and Engagement team works with teams across Wellcome Collection to provide a safe and inclusive space for visitors.
We provide support to users across library service points and through a remote enquiries service, ensuring that all users receive accurate and timely access to information and resources, and retrieve collection items from our closed stores for visitors and colleagues.
What will I be doing?
Library Experience and Engagement Facilitators help to provide an inclusive space by combining visitor experience expertise with a developing practice in engagement activity, knowledge and comprehension of our collections, and participation with our priority audiences.
This is achieved through welcoming and providing advice to visitors, developing engagement activities, and retrieving collection items from our closed stores. You will also be involved in projects with other parts of Wellcome Collection, which could include cataloguing, transcription projects, or cross-team engagement activities.

You will have good communication skills, with experience of engaging with a range of audiences. You will have good presentation skills and an ability to engage and talk clearly to groups of varying sizes.

The Library Experience and Engagement team contributes to a daily rota, supporting the library service open 6 days a week. Working patterns will include a regular rota of Thursday evenings and Saturdays. The team currently supports a day off rota each fortnight, which can be worked onsite or at home.
