An established industry player is seeking a dedicated part-time library manager for a school in Lenzie. In this role, you will oversee the library's operations and support educational initiatives, working closely with teachers to foster a love for reading and independent learning among students. Salary: £33,669.41 - £38,578.39 per year pro rata

Hours: 7 hours per week
Please note that salary will be pro-rated for part-time and term-time hours.
HOURS: 7 hours per week (Term Time + 1 Week = 40 weeks). Working day will be on a Wednesday.
Based in Lenzie Academy, you will manage the school library and continue its development as a key educational resource within the school.
You will work collaboratively with teachers to improve learning and teaching across the curriculum, promote literacy and independent learning, and ensure an effective and supportive learning environment.
You will work towards the continuous improvement of the Education and School services delivery and performance.

Where the post you are applying for is considered a Regulated Role under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020, successful candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to confirmation of employment being made by East Dunbartonshire Council.
Please note, successful candidates will be expected to meet the cost of the relevant check which will be deducted from the successful candidate’s first salary payment.
In specific circumstances, the payment could be deducted in instalments from an employee’s wages following commencement of employment. Approval in such circumstances will be made by the HR & OD Manager.
Should an employee leave in advance of the payment being deducted, the full amount will be deducted from the employee’s final salary.
The criteria outlined above will apply to existing employees of East Dunbartonshire Council who apply for roles for which a PVG/Disclosure check is required.
