Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people getting the support they need to live a life they value. We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support.
We have almost 200 services around England – and nearly 3,500 amazing staff and volunteers who run them. Every year our services support around 125,000 people.

About the role
If you enjoy chatting to others, bringing people together and connecting people with where they want to be, then this is the role for you!
This opportunity is for a LGBTQIA+ Café Volunteer to support with setting up and running a new LGBTQIA+ Flourish Café. Based in Exeter for Together Drug and Alcohol Services, you will be helping to make anyone attending feel at ease, encourage social connection through conversation, signpost to other local activities, and facilitate focused activities.
Together have a network of Flourish Cafes across Devon. They are spaces that encourage people to come together, to connect, socialise and enjoy a cuppa together. Some Flourish Cafes also include activities such as arts, games or mindfulness. And some Cafes run as focused sessions, such as women only or men only spaces, giving everyone the time to feel heard, safe and supported.
