Plant Oxford is the birthplace and heart of MINI production. Manufactured to individual customer specifications, hundreds of MINIs leave the plant’s assembly lines each day, off to meet new owners in more than 110 countries around the world. Three UK plants have a part to play in MINI production – Plant Hams Hall makes engines, Plant Swindon produces body pressings and sub-assemblies for MINI, and all this comes together at Plant Oxford with body shell production, paint, and final assembly.
MINI Plant Oxford - Level 6 Business (Health Management, Occupational Safety, Food Services UK) - 3.5 Year Apprenticeship (August 2025)
We are looking for a confident and eager individual to join us as a level six business apprentice. As our apprentice you will assist across a range of departments whilst on your apprenticeship journey. Your home department will be TU-O-64 Health Management, Occupational Safety, Food Services UK, with this being where your post-apprenticeship role is likely to be based. Your main focus post apprenticeship will be on the subjects of Safety and Ergonomics; however you will also gain experience in the area of Health Management and Food Services over the 3.5 year period.
Your home department will be based at Plant Oxford, and you will also spend time at our other production locations at Swindon, Hams Hall, and Goodwood.
Your Training - The BMW Group offers an enhanced level 6 apprenticeship commencing in August 2025. The three and a half year programme is designed to enable you to experience different business functions in an exciting environment that is constantly developing. You will have the opportunity to build networks and put skills which are being continually learnt into practical use by working on projects alongside other members of the business and carrying out tasks independently.
The apprenticeship will provide several different opportunities to support individual career development. You will also be provided with the support and guidance necessary to ensure your training is successful.
Whilst developing specialist, on-the-job knowledge, you will also undertake fully funded study toward the attainment of a BA (Hons) in Management and Business at Abingdon & Witney College (affiliated with Oxford Brookes University).
Your Year-on-Year Progression - Throughout the apprenticeship, you will continue with the academic requirements of the programme alongside on-the-job training. Your on-the-job training will comprise of placements in a number of previously mentioned areas of the business.
In the latter part of the apprenticeship, your on-the-job training will continue and will become more targeted to your final job within our Health Management, Occupational Safety and Food Services Department.

That’s why in addition to the qualifications we require from you, we’ll also look for you to have a range of skills, attributes, and behaviours. These include team working, the ability to work without close supervision, quality focus, good communication skills, enthusiasm, initiative, as well as responsibility and accountability for your work.

Following completion of the Video Interview, successful applicants will be shortlisted and invited to a face-to-face Assessment Centre with BMW Group. Provisionally, the Assessment Centre is due to take place week commencing 17th March 2025.
