Level 2 Teaching Assistant
Location:

Salary: £89 - £105 per day (Depending on Experience)

Are you a passionate Teaching Assistant looking for an opportunity to support students in their educational journey? Do you have the skills and enthusiasm to provide high-quality classroom support and help students reach their full potential?

If so, GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join schools across Hull. In this role, you will assist in supporting the delivery of lessons, helping students engage with the curriculum, and providing both academic and emotional support where needed.

Level 2 Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  1. Provide support to teachers in managing the classroom environment.
  2. Assist students in their individual learning, adapting resources to meet their needs.
  3. Offer one-to-one or small group support to students requiring extra assistance.
  4. Help monitor and track students' progress, providing feedback to teachers.
  5. Assist with preparing resources and setting up activities for lessons.
  6. Promote positive behaviour and encourage student engagement.
  7. Support students' social and emotional development.
  8. Help maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
  9. Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure effective learning outcomes for all students.
  10. Foster a positive relationship with students to build their confidence and learning skills.

Requirements for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant:

  1. Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (desirable).
  2. Previous experience working with children or in an educational support role as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant or similar.
  3. A strong understanding of the UK curriculum and teaching practices.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to adapt and differentiate learning materials for students.
  6. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  7. An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or the willingness to apply for a new check.
