LV2 and LV3 Nursery Assistants required

Day-to-day, short-term and long-term roles

The Supply Register is currently working alongside Ark Nurseries to find Nursery Assistants to join their bank of staff.

We are looking for those who can work on a day-to-day basis, short-term basis and in longer-term roles also.

The nursery has access to amazing facilities and exceptional training opportunities for staff. The nursery is led by qualified teachers and dedicated staff who are all committed to providing children with a fantastic start in life.

Responsibilities

  1. To be responsible for a group of key worker children including observations, assessments and relationships with parents.
  2. To implement the Ark Start curriculum.
  3. To ensure high quality interactions with all children in nursery.
  4. To create an enabling environment where all children make good progress.
  5. To ensure that nursery is safe and secure and following the Ark Start safeguarding policy and procedures.
  6. To keep child records up to date and report to parents and senior staff.
  7. To promote high standards of the nursery at all times to parents, staff, and visitors in line with the Ark Start code of conduct and handbook.

Requirements
  1. Right to work in the UK.
  2. An awareness of keeping children safe, noticing safeguarding and welfare concerns, and knowing how and when to take appropriate action.
  3. A team player that can work collaboratively as well as using own initiative.
  4. The ability to reflect on your own practice and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  5. Must have an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
  6. Must be able to provide a minimum of 2 professional references which also cover at least 2 years.
