JOB TITLE: Lettings / Property Managers Assistant (domestic, high-end)
JOB LOCATION: Peterborough
JOB TYPE: Permanent
JOB HOURS: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday. NO WEEKENDS!
JOB SALARY: up to £35000 depending on experience and qualifications
JOB QUALS: ARLA qualification would be preferred and will get you the higher end of the salary budget, but our client is also really keen on someone who is part-qualified or wants to study for a professional accreditation with ARLA or RICS and your studies will be enthusiastically supported!

Your new company
Our client is one of the most respected and well-regarded businesses in the property sector and this new role has been created because they are expanding their team of 10 on the basis of increased demand from their high-end clients with portfolios of domestic properties.


Your new role
Your job will be to work alongside the team to:

  1. Arrange and carry out property inspections
  2. Complete statutory paperwork such as Section 13, Section 45 and RR1 forms
  3. Send out rent review letters
  4. Keep the property database updated with compliance and inspections information
  5. Arrange small works with contractors, completing works orders and confirming when the job is done to a satisfactory standard
  6. Update the client repairs Excel spreadsheet
  7. Arrange pre-tenancy cleans and checks
  8. Send out new tenant welcome packs
  9. Answer any tenant queries that come your way
  10. Provide admin support to the wider team

What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in lettings / property management is essential. ARLA qualification is highly desired, but if you've put your studies on hold, then that would be great too! You'll be confident and capable when using typical property management software and the Microsoft suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) too. Our client is looking for someone who can work independently and can find common-sense solutions to problems without having to be spoon-fed. A lively, vibrant personality is a must because you'll be dealing with people from all walks of life, but you'll also be able to dial up your professionalism when it is needed.
