Job Description

Lettings Property Maintenance Administrator - Derby - up to £27k

My client is a leading independent Lettings and Estate Agent who have been established for many years in the Derbyshire and Staffordshire area. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Property Maintenance Administrator where you will be dealing with maintenance issues for a portfolio of managed properties in the area.

Main Duties to include:

  1. Liaise with tenants and landlords when maintenance issues arise, to identify actions required in a timely manner
  2. Keep updates on progress and outstanding issues
  3. Liaise with contractors to obtain quotes for repairs/work required
  4. Instruct contractors to action maintenance/work required
  5. Ensure tenants have appropriate notice of contractors visits
  6. Ensure the appropriate contractor is instructed for the needs of the property
  7. Deal with insurance claims, liaising with landlords, tenants, insurers and contractors if and when necessary
  8. Ensure gas safety certificates are up to date, issue to landlords and tenants
  9. Arrange PAT and hard wire testing to be carried out where necessary
  10. Carrying out property inspections, inventories and check outs when required
  11. Ensure properties meet Health and Safety standards

Skills Required:

  1. Experience of working in a lettings/property management or related business is desirable
  2. Customer service experience
  3. Able to communicate effectively
  4. Excellent customer service skills
  5. Excellent telephone manner
  6. Excellent organisational skills
  7. Able to prioritise workload
  8. IT skills
  9. Common sense approach to problem solving

Working hours - Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm
