Wealden District Council is committed to improving the quality of life and wellbeing of our residents through our leisure and sports provision as well as helping to improve access to community services, facilities, and green spaces.
The newly formed Leisure and Wellbeing Team are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter who is looking to make a difference by supporting community health and wellbeing initiatives through developing positive working relationships with local partners and organisations, promoting and developing Healthy Wealden and supporting the wider work programme of the Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Team. Current projects include the construction of a new £16m Community Sports Hub, the delivery of a £600,000 funding programme to improve the local community and sports provision, procurement of the Leisure Centre contract alongside updating and refreshing the Council’s Health and Wellbeing strategy.
