We are looking for an enthusiastic and engaged Legal Secretary to support a busy Conveyancing team in our Bridgend office on a full time basis. Ideally, you will have 1+ years or more experience of Audio Typing and Office Administration duties.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  1. Ordering searches
  2. Drafting sales contracts
  3. Submitting Land Registry applications and dealing with requisitions
  4. Obtaining land registry documents
  5. Obtaining documents from local authority (planning and building reg departments), Management Company’s, NHBC etc.
  6. Administering filing systems which will include daily printing, filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files
  7. Assisting with maintaining multiple colleague calendars.
  8. Making photocopies and storing client documents
  9. Maintain high levels of client and company confidentiality
  10. Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as directed by your line manager or Director.
  11. Preparing client correspondence and documents as instructed by a Solicitor / Conveyancer through audio-typing and word processing.
  12. Listening to audio recordings and transcribe them accurately into written documents such as emails, Microsoft word etc.
  13. Using transcription software and equipment to aid in the transcription process.
  14. Reviewing, proofreading and editing transcriptions for errors including spelling & punctuation, accuracy, and clarity.

What We’re Looking For

  1. Experience working as an audio typist or secretary is desirable
  2. Experience of audio typing / transcribing and word processing is essential
  3. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office to include Word and Outlook is essential
  4. Experience using a client / customer / case management system is desirable
  5. High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  6. Highly organised and able to prioritise workloads.
  7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal at all levels.
  8. Excellent general IT skills, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems.
  9. Strong level of literacy and numeracy.
  10. Team player.
