Legal Secretary, PA, Legal Executive - construction, commercial, procurement, ADR, litigation role, Belfast. Caldwell Solicitors, a firm based in Belfast with a great reputation across Northern Ireland, Ireland and the UK, is now seeking to hire a Legal Secretary, PA, Legal Executive.

Legal Secretary, PA, Legal Executive required for an exceptional opportunity to grow the firm with a market leader based in Belfast. The ideal candidate will be a Legal Secretary, PA, Legal Executive who is available with minimal notice. Previous experience working as a Legal Secretary, Legal Executive, PA in a busy commercial or litigation department is highly desirable for this role but training will be provided.

The role

The successful candidate will be based in a boutique style busy office where they will provide support to the principal and fee earners on a daily basis. This role is based in a fast paced environment where you will be required to undertake a range of duties.

What you'll need to succeed

Approximately 2 years' experience in a similar role desirable but not essential for the right candidate. Second level qualification (or similar or equivalent) desirable to include typing. A highly organised, proactive individual with proficiency in Microsoft packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, DocuSign and audio typing. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work off your own initiative. Experience of Insight practice management software beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.

Duties will include:

  • Providing a full secretarial/PA function to the Principal
  • Compiling and amending complex documents using track changes and formatting
  • Database and diary management
  • Audio typing
  • Preparation and issuing of invoices
  • Completing all specific litigation / ADR assignments
  • Typing up legal documents and preparing court documents
  • Handling telephone and emails on behalf of the Principal
  • Meeting and greeting function with clients - excellent communication skills, both face to face and on the phone
  • Any other ad hoc administration duties (filing, photocopying etc.)
