Legal Secretary - Family

We are delighted to assist our client with their recruitment for a Legal Assistant - Family, an excellent opportunity for a person wanting to start or continue their career in Law. Job Purpose:

1. To assist the Head of Department and other fee earners within the department.
2. To work in accordance with the Office Manual.
3. To act at all times in an appropriate way as an employee of a professional practice.
4. Provide a full secretarial and support service within the department to ensure that the work is carried out in an expeditious manner and to an appropriate professional standard.

Knowledge and Experience:

1. Excellent keyboard skills with a good knowledge of Outlook, Word & case management (experience of using Tikit is desirable).
2. At least two years' experience working within a Family Private Department (desirable but not essential).
3. Dynamic in approach and uses initiative when dealing with clients or potential clients.
4. A positive approach to customer service.
5. Ability to be a team player and flexible outlook.
6. Efficiency to deal with awkward situations and difficult clients in a professional manner.
7. Ability to remain discreet and maintain employee and client confidentiality at all times.
