Job description

They are looking for a talented Legal Secretary to join their Commercial Property team in Rustington.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide high-level administrative support to fee earners, including transcription, document production, diary management, billing, and other necessary tasks.
  2. Handle Land Registry and Stamp Duty Land Tax filings.
  3. Offer professional and friendly service to clients by answering calls, responding to emails, and attending client meetings.
  4. Ensure effective communication with fee earners and colleagues, addressing tasks and messages promptly.
  5. Manage new client and business opportunities efficiently.
  6. Build and maintain a strong understanding of the department and clients.
  7. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and compliance regulations, ensuring proper maintenance of the client database.

Experience and Skills:
  1. Experience working in a property department within a law firm for at least a year.
  2. Familiarity with case management systems (desirable).
  3. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  4. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  5. Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Solid word processing and audio typing skills, ensuring high standards of accuracy, quality, and timeliness.
