Job description

Legal Secretary - Southampton - Up to £28,000 per annum


A well-respected and values-driven firm based in Southampton is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and proactive individual who thrives in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Audio and copy typing of legal documents from dictation
  2. Preparing and formatting a variety of legal documentation
  3. Managing incoming and outgoing telephone calls, both internal and external
  4. Acting as the first point of contact for the department
  5. Liaising with clients and maintaining strong client relationships
  6. Ensuring file compliance and accurate record keeping
  7. Diary management for fee earners
  8. General administrative duties including filing, scanning, and document management
Requirements:
  1. Strong verbal and written communication skills
  2. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
  3. High level of accuracy in typing and document preparation
  4. A team-oriented mindset with a proactive and flexible approach
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
