Are you an experienced Personal Assistant with a strong sense of organisation and a commitment to providing first-class support? My client, a leading international law firm with a reputation for excellence, is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant for a 12-month fixed term contract.
About the Role
This role is a unique opportunity to provide tailored support to a Knowledge Lawyer in the TechDigital team. Based at the Canary Wharf office, you will assist with both personal and professional duties, ensuring seamless day-to-day support and collaboration with the wider Practice Assistant team.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Assistant Duties:
- Provide sighted support, including describing visual aspects of documents and events.
- Escort the Knowledge Lawyer to meetings, events, lunches, and personal breaks.
- Attend networking events, client lunches, and training courses.
- Accompany the Knowledge Lawyer on business trips and client events.
- Handle ad hoc personal and professional administrative tasks.
- Flexibility to work beyond standard hours on occasion (e.g., once per month).
Legal-Based Duties:
- Read and convert written materials into accessible formats.
- Research legal points and unfamiliar topics using internal and external resources.
- Proofread and format documents, delegating work where necessary.
- Take notes at virtual and in-person meetings.
- Assist in creating briefings, presentations, and coordinating team training sessions.
- Support other premises, such as during secondments to client offices.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Experience providing high-quality 1:1 PA support, preferably within a professional services environment.
- Familiarity with legal terminologies or an eagerness to learn.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and (preferably) legal technologies.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Adaptability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
- A proactive and personable approach, with strong communication and networking skills.
- An understanding of the needs of visually impaired individuals.
