Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary - Dispute Resolution

Location: Yeovil Office (with occasional travel to Bridgwater and Taunton)

Job Type: Full-time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000

We are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary to join our clients Dispute Resolution team at their Yeovil office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment.

The Role:

As a key support to the Head of Dispute Resolution, you will also assist the wider team with essential administrative tasks. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the department while delivering a first-class service to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Providing administrative and secretarial support, including audio typing (dictation).
  2. Managing correspondence, legal documents, and case files.
  3. Handling client communications with professionalism and discretion.
  4. Organising meetings and diary management for the team.
  5. Assisting with general office duties as required.
  6. Traveling to other offices (Bridgwater and Taunton) when necessary.
The Ideal Candidate:
  1. Previous experience in a legal administrative or secretarial role, ideally within a dispute resolution team.
  2. Excellent typing skills (including audio dictation).
  3. Strong communication and organizational skills.
  4. Ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure.
  5. A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to work.
  6. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be an advantage.
