The Legal Director will lead the data, privacy, and cyber practice in Belfast and will have the opportunity to manage client relationships, exciting transactional and advisory work, and the team. You will be responsible for advising an exciting client base on the full spectrum of data, cyber, and privacy matters, including data advisory, AI, cybersecurity and incident response, data litigation, workplace privacy, adtech, regulatory investigations, freedom of information, data subject access requests, and gap analysis projects.

You will be!

Ideally, you will meet the following criteria (there is always some flexibility for a strong candidate on some of the criteria):

• Qualified Solicitor – NI/UK
• Ideally 6+ years PQE gained either in-house or within a leading law firm working within their commercial/TMT/Data practice
• Strong technical knowledge of data/information law
• Excellent legal drafting skills with experience in drafting/reviewing a range of data policies, contracts, etc.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster excellent client relationships
• Previous experience supervising or managing junior lawyers
