Legal Counsel - Tech

Our client is looking for a Commercial Counsel to join their growing Legal & Compliance Team! This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer with expertise in commercial technology transactions to make a real impact in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.

As a key partner to the Sales, Marketing, Security, Product, and Engineering teams, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping contracting processes, supporting revenue growth, and advising on privacy matters. This role is ideal for a tech-savvy, business-oriented lawyer who enjoys working cross-functionally and helping a company scale.

Key Responsibilities

1. Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including enterprise SaaS, software licensing, data processing, partnerships, and more.
2. Provide privacy guidance on data processing agreements, data transfers, and compliance matters.
3. Work cross-functionally to support product development, documentation, and vendor procurement agreements.
4. Develop contracting processes and policies while training internal teams.
5. Collaborate with sales operations and security teams to improve contract management.
6. Manage outside counsel to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

Ideal Candidate Profile

1. Qualified UK lawyer (current or past) with at least 3 PQE.
2. Strong SaaS and commercial contracts experience.
3. Expertise in privacy compliance and data protection regulations.
4. Excellent legal and business judgment with a problem-solving mindset.
5. Passion for partnering with Sales and driving deals forward.
