Job Description:

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Supporting Legal Directors Legal and Senior Legal Counsel (SLC) on all projects and transactions and briefing them on areas of concern to ensure a “no surprises” culture.
  2. Providing strong commercial contracts experience across supplier based activities.
  3. Identifying where judicious decisions are needed on key decision points in contract or dispute negotiations, with escalations to relevant individuals where appropriate.
  4. Drafting contracts, amendments to contracts, legal correspondence and advice notes.
  5. Attending meetings with clients and stakeholders and presenting at those meetings.
  6. Managing personal continuous professional development, sharing know-how with the wider legal team and assisting with development and dissemination of legal training as required.
  7. Assisting with internal reporting and ad-hoc projects.

What we’re looking for:

  1. A Qualified UK lawyer with experience in supplier-based activity working across Group Functions and technology contracts.
  2. In-house experience.
  3. Sound legal, commercial, business and negotiating acumen with strong technical legal skills.
  4. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  5. Articulate and numerate drafting.
  6. Attention to detail.
  7. Highly responsive, proactive, solution-oriented attitude to resolving business issues.
  8. Professional and personal integrity.
  9. Project management and prioritisation skills. Able to work without supervision.
  10. Collaborative and approachable with strong interpersonal skills.
