Job Description

The Legal Counsel will be:

1. Advising on a wide range of funds, including venture capital and private closed-ended debt funds.
2. Supporting transactions in funds-of-funds, listed funds, and non-regulated investment vehicles.
3. Providing guidance on financial regulation and compliance matters.
4. Offering general commercial legal advice in an in-house financial services context.
5. Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive investment programmes.

The Successful Applicant

The Legal Counsel should be:

1. A solicitor with at least 3 years PQE in financial services, funds-related work or from a banking & finance / corporate background with an interest in funds.
2. Experienced in advising on private equity, venture capital, and debt fund transactions.
3. Proficient in financial regulation and compliance matters.
4. Comfortable working in an in-house legal team and collaborating with other departments.
5. Coming from a private practice or in-house background.

1. A competitive salary range of approximately £70,000 to £80,000.
