This exciting new role is for a Legal Counsel to join the dynamic in-house legal function.

This is an integral role within the team, focusing primarily on contract management and support.

You will assist in ensuring that contracting is performed efficiently and effectively, supporting the commercial business partners and protecting its commercial interests.

Our client works collaboratively with other 3rd parties, and the Legal Counsel will need to ensure the ease and flow of business while navigating contracts and fostering good internal and external relationships.

This role requires a blend of attention to detail whilst being able to navigate and appropriately consider risk, contributing to the overall success of our commercial function.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contract Management: Assist in managing all aspects of client contracts from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
2. Risk Assessment: Support the review and assessment of potential risks arising from contracts and statements of work, bringing these to the attention of senior team members.
3. Contract Drafting: Help draft contracts and set up deals with clients, demonstrating flexibility and openness to various negotiation aspects.
4. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders, explaining the rationale behind contractual decisions and fostering strong relationships.
5. Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and maintain robust governance practices within the commercial function.

There will be the opportunity to collaborate across the Legal Counsel operational sphere with the anchor of this role firmly rooted in commercial contracts.

Person Requirements:

You will require at least 3+ years practical contracts experience to assist in delivering value from an early stage.

This is a fast-moving and high-energy organisation offering high levels of variety and challenge.
