A well-respected law firm in Bromley are recruiting for an experienced legal assistant to join their private client team.
Responsibilities
Supporting solicitors with preparation and completion of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection, the Administration of Estates and Trusts
Attending client meetings with a solicitor, and managing client relationships
Maintaining a record of matters for Partners in the firm that are Executors or Attorneys, and keeping it regularly updated
General administration duties to include legal research, preparation of legal documents, reviewing documents, drafting and billing & time recording
Communicating with clients to provide timely updates, and obtaining information where needed
Following up on tasks to ensure they are completed, and chasing the relevant parties for responses
About you
You must have previous secretarial/legal assistant experience working within Private Client, including Court of Protection matters
Accurate typing speeds of at least 60 WPM
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, research tools and other legal systems
Excellent communication, organisational and team skills
An ability to take initiative, work to tight deadlines and great attention to detail
Able to build strong relationships and communicate with a range of people
An empathetic and caring personality, due to the nature of the work
