Legal Assistant

We are seeking a Legal Assistant to provide both legal and administrative support to our private client team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in handling private client matters including wills, probate, trusts, lasting powers of attorney, and Court of Protection work. The successful candidate will be involved in drafting legal documents, managing client interactions, and ensuring the accuracy and up-to-date status of client files.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist in the management of a caseload of private client matters including wills, probate, trusts, lasting powers of attorney, and Court of Protection work.
  • Draft legal documents such as Lasting Powers of Attorney and correspondence.
  • Liaise with clients in person, by telephone, and through correspondence, taking enquiries and making appointments.
  • Manage client files to ensure they are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Provide general administrative support to the team, helping to maintain efficient office operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A minimum of six months of experience as a private client paralegal or administrator.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including an excellent telephone manner.
  • Experience with case management systems and digital dictation.
  • A genuine interest in private client law and a desire to develop skills in this area.
