Job description

We are looking for a Legal Assistant with a good work ethic and positive attitude. Must be reliable and able to work independently.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience and adhere to our core values of empathy and excellence.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Drafting and preparing correspondence
  2. Document management/data entry and organization
  3. Online court filings and searches
  4. Drafting court forms
  5. Maintain BF and Precedent systems
  6. Book mediations, discoveries, trials, client appointments, etc.
  7. Assist lawyer with billing matters

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 2 years experience working in a legal environment
  2. Able to type minimum 60 wpm
  3. Excellent command of the English language (oral and written) and able to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy
  4. Good organizational skills and able to prioritize
  5. Excellent computer skills and knowledge of WordPerfect and MS Office software (Excel, Outlook)
  6. Ability to multi-task and work under time pressure
  7. Experience with insurance law, estate litigation and personal injury would be helpful.

Pay: $47,500.00-$60,000.00 per year
