We are working closely with a well-established multi-office, Legal 500-recognised law firm who are looking to attract an experienced legal administrator to support the Administration Department and their wider branch network, from their head office on the outskirts of Coventry.
The role will involve:
Processing incoming and outgoing post
Scanning of incoming post to the intended recipient
Photocopying including copying CD's/DVDs containing documents/medical records
Inputting information onto an excel spreadsheet
Maintaining the photocopying machines and monitoring stock levels of toner and paper
Co-ordinating file review administration of Fee Earners' files, setting outlook reminders and chasing progress
Assisting with file closing, wills and deeds storage and the retrieving files
Updating and distributing internal telephone lists on excel
Sending out quarterly marketing bulletins
Assisting at an offsite storage facility with periodic reorganisation
Shredding of files which will involve some manual handling
Covering reception/main switchboard over lunch periods, holidays and absences, greeting clients in a professional and friendly manner
Operating an overflow switchboard from your computer
Suitable candidates will have:
Previous experience as an administrator, preferably gained in an SRA regulated law firm
Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
A flexible attitude to work and a willingness to learn different roles, to be able to cover absences as required
Strong attention to detail, with a methodical and logical approach to work
The ability to multi-task and prioritise your own workload, using your own initiative
The ability to work effectively and flexibly as part of a team with a ‘can do attitude’
Previous experience of using a legal case management system (preferred but not essential)
Own transport and full UK driving licence (essential due to office location)
This is a full-time, permanent job which is office-based. Hours of work are 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
