# About you
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria:
- Relevant postgraduate degree (e.g. MA in Education/Educational Management/TESOL/Applied Linguistics or other relevant area).
- Relevant Level 7 teaching qualification (e.g. Cambridge DELTA, PGCE).
- Knowledge of the academic literacy needs of students in HE both in-person and online, including knowledge or interest in supporting students with effective use of Generative AI tools.
- Experience of effectively managing the needs analysis, design, development, and delivery of EAP, academic literacy, and academic skills provision alongside or integrated into UG and PG programmes of study.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a small team and take an active role in departmental line management activities.
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting and implementing the values of equality, diversity, and inclusion in education.
- Evidence of successfully collaborating with a range of stakeholders, including academics, professional services staff, and the student body, to deliver engaging and inclusive academic skills provision.
- Fellowship of HEA or willing to work towards it and secure within 3 years.
