The School of Foundation, Intermediate Learning and Employability at Kingston College is looking to appoint a Lecturer to teach a combination of GCSE Maths and Maths Functional Skills. The GCSE teaching will be predominantly to students aged 16-19 years. For Maths Functional Skills classes, we allocate 2 hours of teaching a week.
You will follow our agreed schemes of work and assessment schedules, and you will be expected to set a minimum of one piece of marked work each class every week. This will be recorded on Pro-Monitor. You will prepare students for June exams, marking homework and mock exams, student monitoring, and where appropriate, curriculum development.
As our Lecturer, we would like you to hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject, hold a teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one), and have excellent teaching skills in GCSE and Functional Skills Mathematics to students aged 16-19 years. We would like you to have energy, enthusiasm, and passion for the subject and education, be able to support, motivate, and empathize with learners, including monitoring their progress, and be able to use new technologies to enhance teaching and learning.
With high personal standards and expectations, you will have good planning, preparation, organizational, and administrative skills, with good attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure to agreed deadlines.

The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year.
