LECTURER - A LEVEL CHEMISTRY

Job description

Do you want to play an important role in developing the A Level Chemistry offer at the college and work within a team of friendly multidisciplinary professionals across the college to support our students?

This exciting role will include:

1. delivering A Level Chemistry, as well as our tutorial programme
2. Implementing a student's support plan and safety assessment
3. Help track the progress of individuals and reporting to the teacher and/or parents at review meetings

If you can demonstrate the following, then we'd love to hear from you:

1. excellent communication and organisational skills
2. a relevant degree (we also welcome applications from NQTs)
3. if you have not yet started your teaching career, we would welcome applications from recent graduates of Chemistry. You would benefit from working alongside an experienced team who would guide and mentor you and we would also support you in gaining a PGCE
4. proven track record of high-quality teaching and successful student outcomes
5. clear understanding of the importance of raising the standard of teaching by using a range of strategies to raise achievement
6. understanding of the importance of monitoring student progress and the effective use of student data systems to intervene and raise standards

College location: Lewes

Annual salary: £25,835 - £39,808 (Subject to qualifications, skills and experience)

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week, permanent contract.
