Are you passionate about making a difference in young people's lives? Do you thrive in a dynamic and supportive environment? Cambridge Regional College are looking for a Learning Support Mentor to join our vibrant Service Industries department at our Cambridge campus!

Our Service Industries department encompasses Culinary Arts, Hair, Beauty, and Makeup, offering students hands-on, industry-relevant training in real-world working environments. As a Learning Support Mentor, you will play a key role in supporting learners to achieve their goals, fostering their confidence, independence, and success.

What You'll Do:
  • Collaborate with lecturers to enhance learning and attainment, ensuring all students feel included and valued.

  • Support students in accessing the curriculum, fully engaging in learning, and reaching their potential.

  • Empower young people to achieve personalised learning outcomes, including Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) targets.

  • Adapt classroom resources to meet individual needs, such as enlarging text or modifying language.

  • Assist in delivering therapy interventions (e.g., Physiotherapy, Speech & Language Therapy) under professional guidance.

  • Review student support needs and work directly with them to enhance their educational experience.

  • Engage in training and development opportunities to continually grow your expertise.

What We're Looking For:
  • A compassionate, adaptable, and proactive individual who can use their initiative in supporting students.

  • GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

  • Experience working with people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is desirable.

  • A flexible and empathetic approach to working with young people.
