Learning Support Assistant - Key Stage 1
Location: Welwyn, Hertfordshire
Contract: Full-time, Term Time (31.25 hours per week)
Start: As soon as possible

A well-regarded, two-form entry Church of England primary school in the heart of Welwyn is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive and inclusive team. This is a full-time position, working across Key Stage 1, with daily hours from 8.30am to 3.15pm (including a midday supervision duty with a 30-minute unpaid break). There may be some flexibility with hours for the right candidate.

The Role Involves:

1. Supporting children within the classroom environment
2. Working with small groups of pupils
3. Collaborating with teachers, the Inclusion Team, parents, and external agencies
4. Assisting with whole-class learning
5. Encouraging and developing children's independence

Ideal Learning Support Assistant Will:

1. Be nurturing, welcoming and inclusive in approach
2. Have prior experience working in a primary school setting
3. Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written
4. Be confident supporting English and maths across the primary age range
5. Be passionate about learning and child development
6. Work well independently and as part of a team
7. Have high expectations for pupil behaviour and achievement
