Job description

We are seeking a Full-Time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our well-regarded Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Dibden, supporting students aged 11-16 with moderate to severe learning, behavioural, and emotional needs. The role involves providing one-to-one or small group support, assisting with lesson delivery, and fostering students' academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support students in accessing the curriculum and engaging in learning activities
  2. Assist with the delivery of tailored lessons and individual education plans (IEPs)
  3. Help manage student behaviour and maintain a positive classroom environment
  4. Contribute to students' personal, social, and academic development

Person Specification:

  1. Passion for supporting students with special educational needs
  2. Experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting
  3. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  4. Proactive, team-oriented approach
  5. Enhanced DBS check required (at applicant’s cost)
