Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant/Learning Mentor for one of our partner schools in Bolton. The school is an independent provision which caters for secondary aged children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, and some challenging behaviour.
The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant with SEMH experience on a full time, permanent basis, to start as soon as possible.
Your role as a Teaching Assistant / Learning Mentor is to engage with the children, support them with their work and accompany them on day trips/ excursions in and around the community. Due to having to take the children to country parks and other places in the community, the ability to drive and have your own vehicle is essential.
The needs of the pupils are severe; therefore, the successful Teaching Assistant / Learning Mentor will have some experience with SEMH or Challenging Behaviour, personally or professionally, or have a background in the care sector.
In addition, you will need to complete all necessary vetting checks including proof of identity, a DBS on the Update Service, and producing two recent references.
