Our client is an established charity that improves the lives of those across the UK living with a wide variety of brain injuries. The charity consists of assessment centres, rehabilitation units and hospitals using expert neuro rehabilitation to help individuals regain the skills they have lost.
This role will be covering their services across the Midlands area, where you will work closely with the Learning & Development Manager to create an engaging learning environment and make a real difference to the quality of care and support that's delivered through the charity.
Responsibilities:
To assist the Learning and Development Manager to deliver organisational requirements for mandatory training and other L&D needs of individual staff and managers.
To develop and deliver creative and engaging L&D training programme(s) and workshops for staff within the business to build capability and drive change.
To design, deliver and evaluate a rolling programme of L&D training and refresher training in line with the organisational-wide learning and development plan.
To ensure that staff development reflects the needs of the business, policies and procedures, and relevant legislation and applicable Regulatory requirements.
To work within a quality assurance framework and to keep records in line with the policies and procedures.
Assist the Learning & Development Manager to develop systems to monitor the quality of the programme/training and ensure that staff competency is assessed as part of the training process.
To ensure that the learning management system is updated with attendance and other relevant data in a timely manner.
To evaluate and modify the quality of existing internal and external training programmes to maximise learner experience and capability development.
To keep abreast of support worker and other staff issues at all levels, local and national, and to proactively reflect changes in the L&D interventions in partnership with subject matter experts, managers and the Learning and Development Manager.
To provide cover and support for other regional Trainer(s) if required and where demand is identified.
To provide advice to Managers to Develop Safety Plans in line with MAYBO guidelines.
Requirements:
A recognised training qualification (eg PTLLS, Cert in Education CIPD or equivalent).
MAYBO accredited (desirable).
Experience of designing and delivering L&D interventions to different audiences.
A creative approach to deliver mandatory L&D solutions and management development.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with a wide audience.
Knowledge of the health and social care sector is desirable but not essential.
Comfortable with regular travel, as some overnight stays may be required.
