Contract type/duration: Permanent

Role Overview

As our L&D Lead, you will design and deliver inclusive, data-driven learning experiences across the employee lifecycle. You will lead the day-to-day management of our Learning Experience Platform (Go1), create engaging face-to-face and digital learning programmes, and partner with stakeholders to support business priorities. From onboarding to leadership development, you will shape the learning offer that enables every colleague to realise their potential.

Collaboration with our HR Business Partners (HRBPs) is central to this role. You will work closely with HRBPs to ensure that learning and development is deeply embedded in our people strategy, aligned with team-level priorities, and responsive to performance and engagement insights. Together, you will co-create solutions that meet the evolving needs of colleagues and support CPC's strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities

Design, Delivery & Impact
  1. Lead the way on assessing learning and development needs and translating them into insights, proposals and impactful learning solutions and experiences.
  2. Use feedback, performance data, and HRBP insights to shape a responsive and evolving learning offer.
  3. Act as a trusted advisor to our HR Business Partners in helping identify and addressing capability gaps and development priorities.
  4. Design and deliver inclusive, high-quality programmes across virtual, in-person, and blended formats — with a strong focus on leadership, management, and professional capability building.
  5. Support the Head of Talent Management on initiatives such as performance management, succession planning, talent reviews, and progression pathways.
  6. Develop and implement robust evaluation frameworks to assess learning outcomes, inform improvements, and demonstrate business value.

Learning Technology & Communication
  1. Own the user experience of our Learning Experience Platform (Go1), ensuring it supports personalised, accessible, and high-impact learning across the organisation.
  2. Manage and maintain CPC's L&D SharePoint and Viva Engage channels, curating engaging, relevant content that increases visibility, drives uptake, and reinforces a culture of continuous learning.
  3. Proactively explore and adopt emerging learning technologies and tools that can scale access, foster social learning, and enhance engagement in hybrid and digital environments.
  4. Monitor platform analytics and user feedback to continuously improve content, usability, and reach.
  5. Deliver regular learning MI and reporting, ensuring stakeholders have access to timely, actionable insights that support decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

Suppliers & Budget
  1. Manage the sourcing, commissioning, and evaluation of external training providers.
  2. Maintain oversight of the L&D budget, ensuring all spend delivers measurable impact and value for money and aligns with budget expectations.
  3. Maintain an overview of supplier performance, ensuring continuous improvement and value for money are achieved.

Requirements
  1. Credible, authentic and confident presenter and facilitator, with an ability to deliver engaging learning at all levels and adapt style to suit the audience.
  2. A track record of creating impactful learning experiences across formats — including in-person, digital, blended, and on-demand.
  3. Comfortable using technology and analytics to improve learner experience and measure impact.
  4. Strong communication, facilitation, and storytelling skills — both written and verbal.
  5. Ability to align learning initiatives to organisational priorities and performance outcomes.
  6. Skilled at building trusted relationships and working with stakeholders at all levels, including HR Business Partners.
  7. Experience supporting wider talent initiatives such as succession planning, career development, or workforce capability building.
  8. Comfortable tracking and reporting on learning metrics (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
  9. CIPD, LPI or equivalent L&D qualifications.
  10. Experience applying performance or engagement data to shape learning strategy.

Benefits
