Are you an experienced L&D professional looking to join an award-winning People team?

We are looking for a Learning & Development Business Partner to join us on a hybrid basis from our Bristol office. You would be joining a collaborative and ambitious People Development team, working with the support of Senior Business Partners, Specialists, Coordinators and an Advisor towards the delivery of end-to-end learning solutions which anticipate business change and drive the success of our people.

In this role, you would act as the programme lead for the Learning & Development curricula (legal, business professional and Client Support Team) delivered through different members of our L&D team, ensuring a strategic, consistent and future-focused approach is adopted.

What you'll be doing:

  • Ensure our curricula for all populations is market leading, working with colleagues and building on work already started.
  • Lead on the Associate and Senior Associate curricula and training solutions in particular, including inductions. This would involve overseeing the whole life cycle of the learning process (i.e. scoping, TNA, design, delivery and evaluation) alongside budget management.
  • Organise, maintain and deliver the firm's ‘flagship' Associate and Senior Associate Development Centres.
  • Liaise with the Professional Support Lawyers on legal training and updates and act as the bridge between them and the wider People Development team.
  • Manage the annual firmwide legal update programme alongside the Professional Support Lawyers.
  • Support in the curation of resources for and firm engagement with our Learning Management System.
  • Be aware of market trends, stay up to date with best practice and share insight with the team.

What we're looking for:

  • A successful learning and development track record at the operational level, preferably within law firm/professional services firms. You are capable of facilitating programmes to high-calibre, questioning audiences.
  • An ability to build and maintain positive relationships with various stakeholders to proactively explore learning requirements, and ensure effective implementation, monitoring and evaluation of these requirements.
  • An ability to drive action through others, keeping busy people on board to deliver high quality outputs and on track with objectives.
  • Understanding of the value of using data to inform decisions and demonstrate return on investment.
