Learning Coach – Secondary School – Farnborough

Part-Time (30 hours per week) | £15,507 per annum (actual salary) | Term Time Only

Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning? GSL Education is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Farnborough that is seeking a dedicated Learning Coach to join their team.

As a Learning Coach, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with a range of learning needs, including those with SEND, EAL, and those requiring additional academic or emotional support. You’ll work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to ensure all students can thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide 1:1 and small group support across a variety of subjects
  2. Assist students in developing learning strategies, building confidence, and fostering independence
  3. Liaise with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to ensure consistent support
  4. Monitor and report on student progress
  5. Actively contribute to the school’s inclusive and supportive ethos
Ideal Candidate
  1. Previous experience working with secondary-aged students, particularly those with additional needs
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  3. A positive, flexible, and resilient approach
  4. A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
  5. Relevant qualifications or training in learning support/SEND (desirable but not essential)
