Position:
NHS Ayrshire and Arran’s Learning and Organisational Development Team is offering an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking individual who can work as part of a team and use their own initiative and experience as a Learning and Organisational Development Advisor to support the design, delivery and co-ordination of individual and corporate staff development training events and activities, using digital technology and other traditional methods.
What you will do:
The Advisor will work in collaboration with the Head of Learning, Development and Staff Experience and the wider team to ensure that people have the required skills, knowledge and capability for their role which will meet corporate expectations in accordance with our organisation’s vision and values.
The duties are varied, stimulating and rewarding through the design and facilitation of bespoke training interventions supporting the development of leaders, managers and teams to enhance their performance, service delivery and employee engagement in a manner which will promote a positive approach to organisational development and the management of change. Essential aspects of this role require experience of online facilitation and conducting the evaluation of Leadership and Management development programmes. The successful candidate will be confident and engaging, with a strong customer focus and a desire to work in partnership with internal stakeholders and the wider HR function in the delivery of both face to face and online learning interventions.
The role requires someone who is highly motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills with knowledge and experience of Learning and Organisational Development activities gained from working in a large organisation. It is also desirable that the successful person will have some experience in providing Leadership and Management and in the development of eLearning modules. Applicants should be educated to degree level or have equivalent knowledge and experience. Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personal and Development or membership of an equivalent professional body is desirable.
The department of O&HRD is currently under review therefore there may be changes to the reporting structure. The shift pattern for this post is 09:00 – 17:00 hrs Monday to Thursday 09:00 and 16:30 Friday.
