Learning & Development (L&D) Business Partner
Salary: Up to £55,000
Location: West Bromwich
Company Size: Up to 600 Employees

About the Role:
Concept Resources is supporting a West Bromwich-based organisation in their search for a dynamic Learning & Development (L&D) Business Partner. This role plays a key part in designing, implementing, and managing learning and development initiatives that align with the organisation's strategic objectives. You will collaborate with various departments to assess training needs, develop tailored curricula, and ensure employees are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Training Needs Assessment:
    - Conduct comprehensive training needs assessments in collaboration with department heads and key stakeholders to identify skill gaps and development opportunities.
    - Use surveys, interviews, and performance data to determine specific training requirements.
  2. Program Design & Development:
    - Design and develop a wide range of L&D programs, including onboarding, technical training, leadership development, and soft skills training.
    - Create engaging learning materials such as e-learning modules, workshops, and manuals to suit various learning styles.
  3. Implementation & Delivery:
    - Coordinate and deliver training sessions, workshops, and seminars, both in-person and virtually.
    - Apply different training methodologies to enhance knowledge retention and cater to diverse learning preferences.
  4. Evaluation & Feedback:
    - Implement evaluation methods to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
    - Collect feedback from participants and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement of L&D initiatives.
  5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
    - Partner with HR and business leaders to ensure L&D programs are aligned with organisational goals and strategic priorities.
    - Develop strong relationships with internal teams and external training providers to ensure the relevance and quality of training content.
  6. Talent Development:
    - Support succession planning and talent development by identifying high-potential employees and creating personalised development plans.
    - Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the organisation.
  7. Budget Management:
    - Oversee the L&D budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and efficient use of resources.
    - Monitor and report on budget performance to senior management.
  8. Compliance & Reporting:
    - Ensure all training programs comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    - Maintain accurate records of training activities and provide key metrics and reports to management.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organisational Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in learning and development, with a proven track record in designing and delivering effective training programs.

Core Competencies:
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in e-learning platforms and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess and improve training effectiveness.
