Job description

Job title: Learning and Development Advisor- Future Workforce

Location: Barrow-In-Furness

Salary: Circa £40,748

What you’ll be doing:

  • Understand and deploy the key people and learning requirements of our strategic portfolios, partnering with the business to execute strategic people plans that happen to be about learning
  • Partnering with key stakeholders in the analysis, design, delivery and evaluation of learning for our strategic portfolio areas, ensuring our L&D processes and governance are followed
  • Providing Learning & Development (L&D) guidance, governance and best practice to our key stakeholders within our strategic portfolios
  • Carry out the activities detailed in the integrated L&D project plans for the strategic portfolios
  • Supporting the integration of L&D activities within the key strategic portfolio areas, placing requirements with the correct stakeholders and teams

Your skills and experiences:

  • CIPD Level 5 or working towards
  • Proven stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proven ability to influence
  • Be able to build high trust relationships and networks
  • Have experience of partnering with the business on people related requirements

The Learning and Development Team:

This role would be part of the Learning and Development team, working specifically on our Future L&D portfolios and projects, which are:

  • The Submarines Centre for Experiential Learning (SCEL)
  • Working with the University of Cumbria to develop a strategic teaching and learning partnership
  • Supporting our future programmes with learning requirements, such as AUKUS.

This role will give you the opportunity to get involved in really exciting, future thinking and strategic projects; projects which will support our business for decades to come. This role would be a great development opportunity for someone looking to gain strategic HR experience, specifically within a L&D environment.
