Job description

Learning and Development Advisor

Working for a fantastic company in the City of London, you will report to the Learning and Development Manager. This is a great role for someone who perhaps has 2 years’ experience and is looking to make the next step up, or a current Advisor wishing to take on more responsibility.

You should be confident and experienced enough to facilitate and run training, onboarding inductions, and conduct soft skills workshops with the business. This role will have an operational element, so you need to be comfortable managing Workday Learning Management Systems and general administration tasks. This role offers a broad spectrum of learning and performance management opportunities, including involvement in culture-focused initiatives such as engagement surveys and culture groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with managers to develop and execute a learning and development agenda that meets the most critical needs of the business.
  2. Manage the onboarding & induction programme for all new starters to ensure an effective transition into the organisation.
  3. Facilitate training modules including new hire induction.
  4. Negotiate and liaise with internal experts and external training providers to design and deliver comprehensive core in-house L&D programmes.
  5. Manage operational execution and processes for L&D programmes.
  6. Oversee feedback and evaluation processes for all L&D programmes.
  7. Analyse feedback to provide recommendations and inform curriculum enhancements.
  8. Conduct needs assessments through gathering staff and management feedback, collaborating with HR and other functions.
  9. Work with the T&D manager to design and execute new training programmes – including manager development programme, graduate onboarding programme, and compliance training launches.
  10. Help drive the Performance Management process and ensure it is effectively communicated to all staff globally.
  11. Deliver staff training sessions to drive feedback, review, and objective setting in the Performance Management process.
  12. Use and maintain the online system efficiently, extract data, and produce reports as required.
  13. Launch and maintain the new Learning Management System (Workday) and lead on L&D reporting.
