Learning and Development Adviser

Contract: FTC 12 months

Working hours: 35 hours per week is full time. Where possible, we are open to considering part time/flexible working patterns. Please let us know in your application your desired working pattern.

Salary: Circa £33,000

Reporting to: Learning and Development Manager

Location: London Docklands

Our permanent hybrid policy sees us all working at least four days across a fortnight in the office.

Working as part of a small team, you’ll be responsible for supporting the design, development, and implementation of high quality, high impact and collaborative, face to face, blended and digital L&D solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Working with colleagues across the organisation to support them in building skills and capability.
  2. Owning key relationships with stakeholders, building trust and using good questioning techniques to identify needs.
  3. Supporting the development and delivery of internal programmes, such as core management and leadership development pathways.
  4. Dealing with sponsorship requests that come through and ensuring they are in line with policy and role requirements.
  5. Managing external partnerships including working with external suppliers to build and source best in class L&D products and services promoting and helping to build an inclusive working environment.
  6. Reviewing the training which is currently offered within the service and ensuring that it is fit for purpose, including induction, externally delivered content and digital learning packages.
  7. Corporate Induction – organising, delivering, and updating aspects of the Corporate Induction Programme.
  8. Working with the HR support function to deliver learning admin requirements.
  9. Being the first point of contact for L&D queries across the organisation.
  10. Completing procurement and data protection processes for contract renewal or projects.
  11. Analysing key data from Workday and surveys to inform decisions.
  12. Being the driver of our future careers, supporting with apprenticeships programmes and our offering.
  13. Planning, scheduling and organisation of key L&D events.

Minimum Criteria

  1. Experience of working in a learning and development environment.
  2. Experience in managing budgets and ensuring value for money.
  3. Account management of external suppliers.
  4. Experience of managing L&D projects.

Desirable Criteria

We would also like you to have the following skills:

  1. Great organisational skills to deliver learning solutions to high standards and ability to be flexible and adaptable.
  2. Knowledge of utilising HCM/HRIS/LMS/LXP platforms to drive learning.
  3. Workday experience.
  4. Understanding of core digital learning creation processes.
