About Us
At Longdue, we create narrative-first, psychologically deep RPGs. We're building immersive worlds and stories that challenge players' choices, morality, and perspectives. Drawing inspiration from the best in the RPG genre, we're crafting a game that combines intricate storytelling, rich world-building, and deeply human characters.
Join us to shape an experience where every decision matters, every character resonates, and every story leaves its mark.

THE ROLE
We're looking for a Lead Writer to guide the creative writing process for Longdue's debut RPG.

As Lead Writer, you'll work closely with the Narrative Director and a team of talented writers to craft a multi-layered, emotionally engaging story. You'll lead the creation of character-driven dialogue, branching narratives, and thematic world-building that reflect the game's psychological depth. Your expertise will help ensure the writing team delivers a cohesive, immersive narrative experience.

What You'll Be Doing

  1. Lead the Writing Team: Provide mentorship and guidance to the writing team, fostering a collaborative and creative environment.
  2. Collaborate with the Narrative Director: Work closely to align the game's tone, themes, and overarching narrative vision.
  3. Craft Compelling Narratives: Write and oversee character dialogue, narrative events, and branching storylines that deepen the connection between players and the game world.
  4. Develop Rich World-Building: Create settings and lore that enhance the game's themes and psychological complexity.
  5. Ensure Narrative Integration: Collaborate with art and tech to ensure the narrative aligns seamlessly with the gameplay.

  • Extensive Writing Experience: Proven experience as a lead or senior writer on narrative-driven games, ideally RPGs.
  • Narrative Expertise: Ability to craft deeply human, multifaceted characters and explore complex themes.

  • Collaborative Spirit: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and align a team around a shared vision.
  • Passion for Narrative-Heavy Games: A genuine enthusiasm for RPGs and narrative-rich gaming experiences.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Familiarity with TTRPG-inspired mechanics, such as dialogue choices, skill checks, or dice-based systems.
  • Experience with psychological or philosophical storytelling.
  • A background in creative writing, screenwriting, or interactive fiction.
