Job description

Description

We are hiring a Lead Videographer to work within our in-house studio team. As the Lead Videographer, you will inspire and guide an established team of video content creators, and be working alongside a team of highly experienced producers, photographers, creatives, stylists, and marketing professionals.

Footasylum's in-house team is responsible for creating all marketing content. Day-to-day, you'll be capturing video content for a range of platforms including Social (Instagram & Facebook) & E-commerce (Footasylum website and Footasylum stores).

The role also offers various opportunities to work across a broad spectrum of briefs for internal, seasonal, and reactive campaigns and branded campaigns for leading brands such as Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, Converse, Jordan, and many more.

We are the only UK retailer with the ability to create and produce content for global mega-brands in-house.

Based out of our purpose-built content creation studio at The Sharp Project, this is an exciting role reporting directly to the Head Of Marketing.

The Team

The Studio Team is part of the Marketing Department, and although we are based at The Sharp Project in Manchester, we are in constant communication with Head Office and the wider Marketing Team. We work closely with the Creative team on a variety of campaigns which cover Footasylum's Own Brands as well as brands such as Nike and Adidas.

The Studio is a dynamic and exciting place to work with every day being different. We have eComm running daily, as well as teams working on social and creative photoshoots. The team strives to create amazing content, always wanting to progress and develop their skills. Teamwork is huge over at the studio. We work collaboratively, supporting and encouraging one another to produce work which we are proud of. It is a fast-paced environment with new jobs being discussed, planned, and shot every day.

About You

You'll need to be determined, visually educated, and knowledgeable culturally and within the video profession. You want work that gets spoken about at both audience and industry levels.

You will need to be unfazed by a busy Studio environment and comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

You'll have a bar that is set at the top of the industry.

Along with;

  1. Demonstrable experience of directing shoots and models.
  2. Advanced knowledge of editing software (DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro)
  3. Kit knowledge of cameras (Arri Alexa, Red, BlackMagic & Sony)
  4. Good awareness of the social, digital, and content landscape
  5. Pro-active approach to work
  6. Good people skills / communication

Why Footasylum?

We are one of the leading omni-channel retailers across the UK, but more than that, we are a brilliant place to work. We value you and your development. We have loads of examples of people moving upwards, across to other departments and given training to excel their personal and professional skills. Our aim is to create a fun environment, where your success is paramount to ours and you are given the right tools, support, and platform to achieve your goals.

Diversity
We recognise and value the importance of diversity to help make sure we have lots of different perspectives when we are building services to customers and the wider business. This is great news for our business. Diversity for us is also, importantly, about building happy teams full of people that want to learn and want to be inspired by each other and our different experiences and backgrounds.

Recruitment Process

We review applications on an individual basis, and if we feel you would be a good fit we'll invite you for a call or Teams video for an informal chat about the role, and to see if we're a good fit for you.

We value open and honest conversations and collaboration, giving you a chance to learn about what we are doing in an informal and friendly environment. We want to know about you and why you feel that this is the opportunity for you.

Please note, this is not a remote role and our expectation is that you will be able to attend Studio in a hybrid way, in Manchester.
