The mission of the Sustainability Performance team, in strong relationship with Financial Planning & Analysis, as well as IT teams is to provide analytical performance capabilities globally, support sustainability House ambitions leveraging best in class data management and advise on data governance for ESG across the House.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Drawing on a passion for sustainability matters, data management and desire to create positive change, the Sustainability Data Process Optimization Lead will show strong expertise in project and stakeholders management and have the ability to keep multiple workstreams moving forward at the same time. Thriving working in a fast-paced environment, the Lead will report to the Senior Manager Sustainability Performance Data Management and work in close relationships with the Sustainability, Finance and IT department stakeholders.

IMPACT YOU CAN CREATE AT CHANEL

Among other responsibilities, Sustainability Data Process Optimization Project Lead will:

• Help all the business teams using ESG Data to define and deliver on the data strategy globally and locally, definitions required, implementation specifications and reporting capabilities for the tools selected.
• Act as a data program manager for all teams that need to consume or create data for ESG Reporting (actual & future).
• Ensure that business teams follow the best practices in terms of data management implementation (data governance set-up, adoption of tools, change management, data security & privacy) in coordination with the Global Data Governance team and House policies.
• Coordinate with the IT Team to validate a shared approach on implementation (globally and locally), align plannings of delivery and business needs prioritization.
• Support the implementation of the new ESG Performance Management tool in collaboration with all the business entities of Chanel globally.
• Translate strategic objectives into concrete reality on the different data perimeters, without forgetting to consider the cross-functional needs of the different regions & divisions.
• Establish a genuine “data culture” within your scope.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING/HAVE

• Experience in project management and data governance roles which demonstrates an understanding of the importance of data management.
• Familiarity with ESG reporting and a willingness to develop knowledge in this area.
• Excellent use of Microsoft Office products.
• A can-do attitude, positivity around data challenges and a natural inclination for tackling business problems and providing solutions using data.
• Evidenced strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative mode with many stakeholders.
• French speaking is a plus.
