The post holder will have primary responsibility for supporting the Clinical Trials Unit Manager (Statistics & Methodology) in managing the statistical service provided to the staff across the Trust by the Research Data Management & Statistics Unit, ensuring the provision of expert support and advice relating to the full range of statistical and analytical aspects of the Trust's clinical research and audit programmes. This will require management and distribution of the statisticians' workload, representing the team at meetings, promoting the use of statistical concepts across the organisation and in collaboration with the GCP Team, developing standard operating procedures for statistical services that are compliant with the Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trials) Regulations 2004 (as amended).
In addition, if the post holder has experience in trials methodology, they would be encouraged to develop the use of new and innovative methodologies in clinical trial design and analysis as required.
